Algerian FM Lays a Wreath in Stockholm at the Grave of Algeria’s Revolutionary Friend, Olof Palme

On Wednesday evening in Stockholm, Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, laid a wreath at the grave of Olof Palme, a steadfast ally of Algeria’s revolution. During his official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, he also made a friendly visit to the institution named after Palme, championing his ideals that advocate for just causes worldwide, as stated by the ministry.

The statement emphasized that this gesture reflects “the commitment of the President of the Republic to preserve national memory in general and to honor the virtues of friends of the Algerian revolution in particular.”

On this occasion, Minister Ahmed Attaf underscored the special bond between the late Olof Palme and Algeria, crediting him with a pivotal role in supporting the Algerian cause during its armed struggle for national sovereignty, as well as his significant contributions to fostering friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Sweden throughout his tenure as Prime Minister.
