Guterres Accuses the Zionist Entity of Blocking Aid to Gaza and Violating International Law

UN Secretary-General António Guterres accused the zionist entity of obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, stating that no aid has entered the territory for over a month. Speaking from UN headquarters, Guterres underscored that the forced displacement of civilians in Gaza constitutes a violation of international law.

He emphasized that UN agencies are fully prepared to provide relief, but criticized the new approval mechanisms introduced by the Zionist occupation authorities, warning they could impose tighter restrictions and drastically limit aid delivery. Guterres stated that the United Nations will not participate in any process that fails to fully uphold humanitarian principles.

The Secretary-General also called for unimpeded humanitarian access and the protection of aid workers, as mandated by international law. He further demanded an independent investigation into the deaths of humanitarian workers, including UN staff, noting that at least 408 aid workers — among them more than 280 from UNRWA — have been killed in Gaza since October 2023.
