Five people were injured on Thursday during a knife attack in Amsterdam, and authorities have apprehended a suspect, according to police reports.
The police have established a security perimeter around the incident site, which is located near the central Dam Square.
“We currently do not have any information regarding the motive or cause of the knife attack. This is part of our ongoing investigation,” the police stated in a press release.
At this time, the health status of those injured has not been disclosed.
