Algeria and Belgium Discuss Health Sector Investment and Partnership

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of Health, Abdelhak Saihi, discussed with Belgium’s Ambassaodr to Algeria, Jean-Jacques Quairiat, opportunities of investment and partnership between both countries in the field of health, said the ministry on Tuesday in a Communiqué.
On this occasion, the Belgian ambassador expressed his country’s willingness to strengthen bilateral partnership and cooperation in the interest of both nations.
He further commended Algeria’s progress in various fields, particularly in the economic sector.
For his part, Saihi highlighted “the strength of Algerian-Belgian relations,” emphasizing Algeria’s readiness to enhance partnership between the two countries in the health sector, particularly in training and institutional twinning programs.
In this regard, the minister proposed a twinning project between the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and the National School of Health Management and Administration (ENMAS), in addition to exploring investment opportunities in the health sector.
Saihi further outlined the benefits, incentives, and guarantees provided under Algeria’s investment law to attract foreign partners.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain coordination by establishing a joint working team tasked with exploring ways to expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation in health, the source concluded.
