Algeria Transfers Industrial Land Management to National Agency to Boost Investment

ALGIERS – The Algerian Council of State Participations (CPE) held a meeting on Wednesday, chaired by the Prime Minister, Nadir Larbaoui, dedicated to the transfer of land assets and obligations of the public economic enterprise (EPE) “DIVINDUS Industrial Zones” to the National Industrial Land Agency, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui chaired, on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, the proceedings of the 194th session of the CPE, dedicated to the transfer of land assets and obligations of the EPE DIVINDUS Industrial Zones to the National Industrial Land Agency,” said the press release.
This operation will allow the new agency to effectively begin its activities and fulfil its missions regarding the development and management of industrial zones and activity zones falling under the private domain of the State, according to the same source.
The Agency will contribute to strengthening the industrial land supply intended for investment, in order to inject a new dynamic into efforts to support and promote investment, as part of the new economic land mechanism established by the President of the Republic.
The CPE meeting comes in execution of the provisions of Article 31 of Executive Decree 23-488 on the creation, organization and functioning of the National Industrial Land Agency, added the same source.
