Algeria : Fiat Factory Expansion in Oran Reaches 70% Completion, Boosting Local Industry

ALGIERS-The expansion project for the Fiat factory in Oran is making “significant” progress, according to a statement released Monday by “Stellantis El Djazair,” noting that the construction of the welding and painting facilities has surpassed 70% completion threshold.

“Stellantis El Djazair is accelerating the expansion of its industrial facility in Tafraoui, Oran province,” the statement emphasized, adding that “this expansion will increase the factory’s production capacity and rate of local integration.”

The group has also invested in “cutting-edge” robotic equipment and plans to hire specialists in this field. These employees will receive training both in Algeria and internationally to develop skills that are “unprecedented” in the country, according to the same source.
