Lavrov: NATO Troop Presence in Ukraine to Protect the ‘Nazi Regime’ Poses Threat to Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that any NATO troop presence in Ukraine, regardless of its capacity, represents a direct threat to Russia. Speaking with Mario Nawfal, Andrew Napolitano, and Larry Johnson, Lavrov criticized Europe’s push for deploying peacekeepers in Ukraine, calling it an “obsession” designed to escalate tensions. He accused the UK and EU of attempting to pressure the Trump administration into taking a more aggressive stance against Russia.

Lavrov further asserted that NATO peacekeepers would serve as a protective force for what he described as the “Ukrainian Nazi regime.” He also accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of breaking his campaign promise to implement the Minsk Agreements, which aimed to resolve the conflict in Donbass. Lavrov noted that within months of taking office, Zelensky reversed his stance, refusing to grant special status to the region, further undermining diplomatic efforts.

The Russian foreign minister’s remarks highlight Moscow’s growing concerns over Western involvement in Ukraine. With tensions remaining high, Lavrov reiterated that any foreign military deployment on Ukrainian territory would be viewed as a direct provocation against Russia.
