
ALGIERS – Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui chaired Wednesday a government meeting to explore ways to enhance energy security, giving concrete expression to the strategic vision of the Algerian president, the Prime minister’s office said in a statement.
Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui “chaired today, Wednesday 5 March 2025, a government meeting dedicated to the examination of ways to strengthen energy security, giving a concrete form to the strategic vision of the president of the Republic, by reviewing the main points of the roadmap for the diversification of energy sources for the production of electricity.”
The meeting will tackle the “measures and projects to develop national capacity in renewable energy and increase the contribution of electricity production, in addition to strengthening the connection between the different networks nationwide to ensure sustainable energy production.”
In relation to the investment-oriented economic land, a paper was presented at the meeting on the measures taken by the government to activate the National Agency for Tourist Land, mainly in terms of reorganising the tourist real estate market and developing tourist expansion zones, to promote the land available for investment projects.
The government has also heard a presentation on back to school for vocational training of February 2025, after which it looked at the most significant decisions taken to restructure the fields of training, to respond to the needs of the national labour market and support the implementation of the key economic development guidelines.
The government discussed ways to relaunch and adapt the Productive Family Programme, aimed at enhancing mechanisms to support needy families, by encouraging them to get involved in the national production process, through economic activities to improve their living conditions.”
