Growing Calls to Expel Zionist Entity from International Football Competitions

As Zionist attacks and land occupation in Gaza and the West Bank persist, calls are mounting to exclude the Zionist entity from international football competitions.

In recent months, football stadiums across Scotland, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Belgium, Brazil, Malaysia, Chile, and other countries have become platforms for protest against Zionist policies. Fans have held banners calling for a “red card” for the Zionist entity, expressing solidarity with Palestinians.

The “Green Brigade,” a well-known supporters’ group of the Scottish club Celtic, has been at the forefront of this movement. Their campaign, launched in late February under the slogan “Show the Zionist entity a red card,” demands the entity’s exclusion from international tournaments as punishment for its crimes against Palestinians. The campaign has gained unprecedented momentum, uniting fans of various religions and backgrounds in more than 30 countries.

On February 15, during La Liga’s 24th round match between Osasuna and Real Madrid, thousands of fans displayed a massive banner reading, “The Zionist entity deserves a red card,” protesting against Zionist aggression.

The movement continued in Italy on February 23, when Empoli fans at the Carlo Castellani Stadium held up banners demanding the Zionist entity’s exclusion from international tournaments, alongside red cards covering the stands.

Brazilian club São Paulo’s supporters joined the campaign on February 24 during their Paulista A1 league match, displaying a banner reading “Free and independent Palestine” while raising red cards in protest.

In Chile, Colo Colo fans echoed the movement during a match on February 25, displaying a massive banner that read, “The Zionist entity deserves a red card,” reinforcing the growing international stance against Zionist violations in Palestinian territories.
