G20 Ministerial Meeting : Attaf Participates in African Countries’ Coordination Meeting

ALGIERS — The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf participated on Wednesday in Johannesburg in a coordination meeting bringing together African countries invited to the G20 proceedings, on the eve of the G20 ministerial meeting, the ministry said in a press release.

This meeting, which was held at South Africa’s initiative, brought together Algeria, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Egypt and Angola in its capacity as current chair of the African Union (AU), the same source said.

In this respect, discussions focused on “the means and prospects of defending African priorities in the G20 agenda, especially as part of South Africa’s presidency of this group and following the AU’s adhesion as a full member,” the press release concluded.
