Erdogan Proposes Turkey as Host for Russia-Ukraine-US Peace Talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Tuesday that Turkey is ready to host future negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States to end the ongoing war. Speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ankara, Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, emphasizing the need for a lasting and just peace.

Erdogan highlighted Turkey’s history of mediation, recalling the 2022 Istanbul negotiations and the Black Sea Grain Initiative. He stressed that diplomatic efforts must continue, calling on global powers to support peace efforts.

The Turkish president welcomed US President Donald Trump’s recent diplomatic push to end the war, aligning with Turkey’s long-standing efforts. He further emphasized bilateral cooperation with Ukraine, particularly in trade and post-war reconstruction, reiterating Turkey’s strategic partnership and support for Crimean Tatars.
