Canada: Plane Overturns During Landing, 17 Injured

TORONTO (Canada), February 18, 2025 – A Delta Airlines flight carrying 80 passengers overturned on the tarmac at Toronto’s airport on Monday following a landing mishap, resulting in 17 injuries, three of which are serious.
The flight, operated by Endeavor Air using a Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft, was traveling from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Toronto, Canada’s most populous city, when the incident occurred early in the afternoon, according to Delta Airlines.
Authorities and the airline have not yet provided an explanation for the cause of the accident. The incident did not involve any other aircraft and resulted in no fatalities; however, it left 17 individuals injured, as reported by Deborah Flint, the airport’s CEO, during a press conference later in the day.
Earlier, Toronto Pearson International Airport indicated that it was experiencing strong winds and freezing temperatures while anticipating heavy traffic. Among the 17 hospitalized individuals, three are suffering from serious injuries, according to rescue services.
