Algeria President Reaffirms APRM’s Importance in Enhancing Good Governance and Promoting Stability

ADDIS ABABA, February 14, 2025 – On Friday, Algeria President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reiterated the significance of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in strengthening good governance and fostering stability during an event held at the headquarters of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
In his address at the 34th summit of Heads of State and Government of the APRM, where he presides as the head of this Mechanism, the President stated, “The APRM is now essential for enhancing good governance and promoting stability,” emphasizing that this Mechanism should not be regarded as a mere formality.
During this occasion, the President called for “unified efforts towards Africa’s progress” and for “defending the interests of its peoples.”
