Trump’s EPA Chief Ends Politico Partnership

Donald Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator, Lee Zeldin, announced on his X account that the agency will not be renewing its partnership with Politico and Politico E&E. Zeldin emphasized that this decision will save American taxpayers nearly $486,000, marking a shift in the EPA’s media engagement strategy under the Trump administration.

The announcement reflects the administration’s broader effort to reduce government spending and reassess federal contracts with media organizations. The move aligns with Trump’s ongoing criticism of mainstream media outlets, which he has frequently accused of bias. It also signals a potential shift in how the EPA communicates policy decisions and environmental initiatives to the public.

DOGE has already responded by publishing the confirmation of three additional canceled DEI contracts, reinforcing the administration’s stance on cutting spending in areas it deems unnecessary. These actions highlight the Trump administration’s commitment to reshaping federal agencies and their financial priorities.
