Tunis African Judo Open: Algeria to Compete with 26 Judokas

A total of twenty-six judokas (16 men and 10 women) will represent Algeria at the 2025 edition of the Tunis African Open Championships, scheduled for February 15-16. The event will feature participants from 23 countries across four continents, as announced by the organizers on Friday.

The male competitors include Salim Rabhi (-60 kg), Salah-Eddine Moudathir (-60 kg), Rachid Cherrad (-66 kg), Kaïs Moudathir (-66 kg), Ayoub Benlaribi (-66 kg), Oussama Hezil (-66 kg), Anis Saoudi (-66 kg), Ahmed Mehibel (-73 kg), Imad Mehibel (-73 kg), Abdeslam Belbelhout (-73 kg), Denni Achour (-81 kg), Loukmane Daroul (-90 kg), Sid Ali Benaboura (-90 kg), Rayan Zakaria Benattia (-100 kg), Othmane Arbaoui (-100 kg), and Mohamed El Mahdi Lili (+100 kg).

In the women’s category, the National Technical Directorate (DTN) has selected Houaria Kaddour (-48 kg), Faïza Aïssahine (-52 kg), Khadidja Bekhira (-57 kg), Nourhane Ghazali (-57 kg), Hanane Brahimi (-57 kg), Louisa Ichaâlal (-70 kg), Chanez Aliouane (-70 kg), Dyhia Benchaâlal (-78 kg), Maroua Mammeri (+78 kg), and Yassemine Youcefi (+78 kg).

According to the organizers, a total of 201 judokas (118 men and 83 women) representing 23 countries have already confirmed their participation in the tournament. Tunisia will host the largest delegation, consisting of 47 judokas (23 men and 24 women).
