Algerian President Receives Phone Call from His Czech Counterpart

Algiers, February 6, 2025 – Today, the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a phone call from Petr Pavel, the President of the Czech Republic. During their conversation, they explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and addressed regional and international developments, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The same source reported that the two presidents engaged in a friendly and productive dialogue focused on “strategies to enhance collaboration between the two nations,” particularly in the economic and military sectors, as well as opportunities for business meetings.
The statement also noted that while discussing regional and international issues, both leaders expressed aligned views on the Palestinian conflict and the two-state solution, and they conveyed their hopes for stability and progress for the Syrian people.
On this occasion, “President Tebboune reiterated his invitation to President Pavel to visit Algeria, which Mr. Pavel accepted; this visit would present an excellent opportunity for the Algerian-Czech Joint High Commission to convene and explore avenues for advancing matters of mutual interest,” the statement added.
