Algerian Minister of Communication Received by Equatorial Guinea’s President

ALGIERS, January 29, 2025 – In his role as the special envoy of the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Communication Mohamed Meziane was welcomed on Wednesday in Malabo by President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, according to a statement from the ministry.
During this meeting, the Minister of Communication conveyed a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his Equatorial Guinean counterpart, extending greetings and expressing a desire to strengthen the ties of fruitful bilateral cooperation, as noted in the statement.
The meeting also offered an opportunity to discuss the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the two countries, as well as to explore ways to enhance these relations. This aligns with the shared vision of Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, which aims to bolster the partnership between their nations, according to the same source.
At the conclusion of the discussions, both parties underscored the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of mutual interest, particularly those related to the agenda of the African Union.
