Algeria, EU : Strengthening Strategic Partnership Through Comprehensive Dialogue

ALGIERS- Algerian Prime minister Nadir Larbaoui received, at the Palace of Government on Sunday, the ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Algeria, Diego Mellado Pascua, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the bilateral cooperation between Algeria and the European Union and assess the state and prospects of bilateral relations, in the light of Algeria-EU association agreement, which has a strategic nature, according to the statement.
The two officials “reiterated their commitment to work together to establish comprehensive and wide-ranging partnership, with new dynamics, based on a balanced approach ensuring the interests of both sides.”
The two sides “welcomed the planned meeting of the bilateral technical consultative committee on trade relations,” stressing the “importance of Algeria-EU Association Council meeting, which will be an opportunity for the two partners to assess the bilateral cooperation, in a spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, and to explore the opportunities to develop and enhance them, taking into account Algeria’s current development process,” the statement concluded.
