Russian Missile Strike Hits Electrical Station Near Ukrainian Presidential Office

An electrical station near Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office in central Kyiv caught fire during a massive Russian missile strike, according to Ukrainian media reports on Wednesday. Local photos showed a large plume of black smoke rising near the Khreshchatyk metro station and Bankova Street, where the presidential office is situated.

In response to the attack, an air raid alert was issued nationwide, as reported by missile strike tracking maps. Ukrainian Energy Minister Roman Galushchenko announced preventive power outages due to the severity of the assault. Explosions were reported in multiple regions, including Poltava, where a missile struck the Mirgorod airfield, as well as in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. Additionally, an airport in Cherkasy, used by Ukrainian aircraft in operations against Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region, was reportedly targeted.
