Biden Announces Transfer of Artillery and New Security Assistance Package to Ukraine

US President Joe Biden revealed on Monday that the Department of Defense is in the process of transferring “hundreds of thousands” of artillery rounds and thousands of missiles to Ukraine.

He stated that the delivery would also include hundreds of armored vehicles, all of which are aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s position as it heads into the winter. This comes alongside a new $2.5 billion security assistance package for Ukraine, announced by Biden.

Biden emphasized that the ongoing US support is crucial for Ukraine’s defense of its independence and freedom against Russian aggression. He highlighted the United States’ commitment to helping Ukraine through continued military aid as it faces challenges posed by the conflict with Russia.

The new security assistance package is seen as a further demonstration of the US’s unwavering support for Ukraine.
