Ukrainian Forces Strike Lgov in Kursk Region with HIMARS Missiles, 4 Casualties Reported

Ukrainian forces are reported to have launched an attack on Lgov in the Kursk region using American-made HIMARS missiles, according to the Russian Investigative Committee (ICRF).

Preliminary reports from Alexander Khinstein, acting governor of the Kursk region, reveal significant damage and casualties from the shelling.

The attack resulted in the deaths of four people, with another individual succumbing to injuries in the hospital. Five others were hospitalized, including a woman in critical condition, and are receiving medical and psychological support. The shelling caused extensive destruction to a five-story residential building, two single-story homes, and a beauty salon. In addition, neighboring private houses experienced shattered windows, at least 12 cars were damaged, and a gas pipeline sustained partial destruction.

The regional government has established an operational headquarters in Lgov to manage the crisis. Emergency services are fully mobilized, and efforts are underway to evacuate residents from damaged buildings while providing necessary assistance.
