Trump’s Bold Territorial Ambitions : Panama Canal, Canada, Mexico, and Greenland

US President-elect Donald Trump has made waves with his provocative ideas to expand America’s borders. From reclaiming the Panama Canal to suggesting Canada become the 51st state, Trump has hinted at a grand vision of territorial expansion.

His call to return the Panama Canal to US ownership was met with resistance from Panama’s President, while his suggestion that Canada join the US sparked mixed reactions. Trump also floated the idea of making Mexico a state, using the country’s financial reliance on the US as a justification.

Lastly, Trump revisited his interest in acquiring Greenland, positioning it as a strategic necessity for national security and geopolitical advantage. While his remarks have drawn international skepticism, Trump’s territorial ambitions continue to stir debate.
