Algerian Minister of State, FM, holds talks with Ethiopian counterpart

ADDIS ABABA – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Monday with his Ethiopian counterpart, Gedion Timothewos, in Addis Ababa, during his official visit as the Special Envoy of the Algerian President, said the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.

The discussions focused on ways to leverage the upcoming meeting of the Joint Governmental Committee to give additional momentum and renewed dynamism to Algerian-Ethiopian relations, particularly by updating and expanding the bilateral legal framework and prioritising cooperation in economic sectors, the source said, adding that the two ministers exchanged views on “several key issues currently on the agenda of the African Union.”
