Deadly Fire at Nursing Home in Amman Leaves Six Dead and 60 Injured

A devastating fire broke out at a nursing home in the capital of Jordan, Amman, claiming the lives of six people and injuring 60 others, five of whom are in critical condition. The fire reportedly started on the first floor of the “White Family Association – Nursing Guest House,” which houses 111 elderly residents.
According to Jordan’s Minister of Social Development, Wafa Bani Mustafa, the blaze spread quickly throughout the facility, and emergency evacuation efforts were swiftly carried out to move the residents to safety. Those injured in the fire were transported to government hospitals for treatment.
The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, while the families of the victims await further updates. This tragic incident highlights the vulnerability of elderly residents in care homes, emphasizing the need for strict safety regulations and precautions in such facilities.
