Saudi Arabia has been chosen to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, as announced by the Congress of the International Football Federation (FIFA) on Wednesday.
During a virtual conference, delegates representing the 211 member federations endorsed Saudi Arabia’s bid, which was the only proposal remaining after a selection process that was restricted to candidates from Asia and Oceania, in accordance with geographic rotation policies.
