Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund Divests from Zionist Company Bezeq

Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, the world’s largest, announced its decision to divest from Zionist telecommunications company Bezeq. The move follows the company’s provision of services to Zionist settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The decision, made late Tuesday, came after the fund’s ethics board issued a stricter interpretation of ethical standards regarding companies linked to the Zionist occupation of Palestinian territories. The board explained that Bezeq’s presence in the West Bank colonies and its telecommunications services there contribute to the maintenance and expansion of these illegal settlements, which violate international law.
While Bezeq also provides services to Palestinian areas in the West Bank, the ethics board emphasized that this does not negate the company’s involvement in the illegal settlements. The recommendations will now be submitted to the Norwegian Central Bank’s board of directors for final approval.
