Gaza Faces Unprecedented Genocide as 70,000 Palestinians Are Trapped in Dire Conditions

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has condemned the ongoing massacre in Gaza, calling it the largest genocide of the modern era. The organization reports that 70,000 Palestinians are trapped in northern Gaza, enduring starvation and systematic eradication by Israeli forces.

According to the monitor’s statement, the residents of northern Gaza have been under siege for two months, with no access to food or medicine. Israeli forces continue to hunt down civilians, forcing them to flee from one place to another, aiming to kill or forcibly displace them.

The human rights organization highlighted the catastrophic situation, revealing that over 150,000 people have been displaced since the latest assault began on October 5. Those remaining in the northern Gaza Strip face severe food shortages and a lack of clean water. The relentless airstrikes and pursuit of civilians in shelters and the remnants of destroyed homes exacerbate the crisis.

The monitor detailed how Israeli forces deliberately target homes where civilians seek refuge. Among the most recent attacks was the bombing of a family home in Beit Lahiya, which killed 25 people. Just days before, three residential buildings in Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya were bombed, resulting in over 120 deaths and many more missing.

The situation is further compounded by the inability to rescue those trapped under the rubble, as rescue teams have been blocked from operating by Israeli forces for the past 41 days. Even those who manage to survive and reach hospitals face the danger of being targeted by drones. If they do make it to the hospital, the lack of medical supplies and personnel puts their lives at even greater risk.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor also reported numerous cases of civilians being targeted by drones while attempting to leave their homes or shelters in search of food or water. The ongoing atrocities continue to unfold, with no end in sight, leaving the Palestinian population in Gaza facing an increasingly dire humanitarian crisis.
