Iran Reaffirms Transparency of Nuclear Program, Rejects Unilateral Pressure

Iran’s top nuclear official, Mohammad Eslami, has reiterated the country’s commitment to transparency in its nuclear program under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Speaking on Wednesday in Tehran, Eslami confirmed that Iran has begun feeding gas into thousands of modern centrifuges, a step that aligns with the ongoing development of its nuclear capabilities, aimed at improving the quality of life for its citizens.

Eslami emphasized that while Iran remains open to dialogue, it will not abandon its rights in the face of external pressure or unjust actions. He reaffirmed that Iran’s nuclear ambitions are purely peaceful and fall within established frameworks, dismissing claims of military intentions.

Eslami also criticized parties opposed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for failing to uphold their commitments, particularly the United States, which unilaterally withdrew from the deal in 2018 and imposed harsh sanctions on Iran.
