Algerian Army General Installs New Commander of Land Forces

Algerian Army General Saïd Chanegriha presided over the installation ceremony for Major General Mostefa Smaili as the new Commander of the Land Forces of the National Popular Army (ANP) on Wednesday, representing the President of the Republic. The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Land Forces Command.
General Chanegriha paid tribute to martyr Didouche Mourad before inspecting the troops and officially announcing the appointment of Mostefa Smaili, who succeeds Major General Amar Athmania. He underscored the importance of adhering to the orders and directives of the new commander in the interest of service and in accordance with the laws of the Republic.
Following the signing of the handover protocol, the national flag was ceremoniously transferred. In his address, the Army General emphasized the significance of leadership transitions as a means to invigorate the ranks of the ANP in response to the escalating security challenges facing the region.
