Lebanon: 14,000 Pregnant Women Impacted by Zionist Aggression (UN)

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) has reported that approximately 14,000 pregnant women in Lebanon have been affected by the recent Zionist aggression against the country.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the UNHCHR noted that “around 1,500 of these women are expected to give birth in the coming weeks.”
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has indicated that the Zionist aggression has displaced approximately 880,000 individuals within Lebanon, while another 470,000 have sought refuge in neighboring Syria.
In response to this humanitarian crisis, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has launched a $426 million appeal to provide essential support to those impacted by the bombings carried out by the Zionist forces in Lebanon.
However, OCHA remarked that only a quarter of this amount has been raised from international donors thus far.
According to the latest figures from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, released on Wednesday evening, the ongoing toll of the Zionist aggression against Lebanon since October 8, 2023, has reached 3,365 casualties and 14,344 injuries.
