Zionist Forces Demolish Last Mosque in Arab Village as Plans to Build a New Jewish Town Move Forward

On Thursday morning, Zionist forces raided the village of Umm al-Hiran in the Naqab region and demolished its mosque, the last remaining building in the village after a series of previous demolitions. The action took place just days before the November 24 deadline set by Zionist forces for the village’s residents to evacuate.
The raid also involved the arrest of three villagers, as they sought to enforce the displacement order. Residents of Umm al-Hiran, as well as nearby villages like Ras Jaraba, face the imminent risk of displacement as Zionist forces push forward with plans to build Jewish settlements on the ruins of the Arab villages.
Zionist forces are planning to establish a new Jewish town, Dror, on the land of Umm al-Hiran, while Ras Jaraba will be incorporated into the city of Dimona. These moves are part of a broader effort to settle Jewish citizens in areas previously inhabited by Palestinian Arabs, with residents forced to evacuate and abandon their homes. The Zionist forces have rejected the villagers’ requests to be included in the new residential developments, stating that only Jews will be allowed to live in the new towns.
