IAEA Chief Grossi Arrives in Tehran for High-Level Talks on Iran’s Nuclear Program

Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), arrived in Tehran on Wednesday night, greeted by Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). Grossi’s visit is part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to address outstanding nuclear safeguards issues and reinforce cooperation between the IAEA and Iran.
On Thursday, Grossi held a meeting with Iran’s top diplomat, a key figure in the nuclear negotiations that led to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with major powers. Later, Grossi is expected to meet with President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss further measures to ensure compliance and transparency within Iran’s nuclear program. He will also meet with Mohammad Eslami, Head of the AEOI, followed by a press conference where Grossi will address questions on Iran’s nuclear activities.
