Arab Americans in Dearborn Urge Trump to Demand Ceasefire in Palestine and Lebanon

Arab Americans in the Muslim-majority US city of Dearborn, Michigan, who supported Donald Trump in the recent presidential election, have called on the president-elect to demand an immediate ceasefire in Palestine and Lebanon.
In a letter shared on Instagram, the MENA American Chamber of Commerce, representing Lebanese Americans, congratulated Trump on his return to the White House. The letter noted that Dearborn “turned red” in this election, referring to the color traditionally associated with the Republican Party.
The letter further urged Trump to use his political influence to advocate for a ceasefire, citing the escalation of Zionist attacks after the US election. The letter emphasized that this move would align with Trump’s commitment to lasting peace, as outlined in his earlier correspondence with Lebanese Americans. Additionally, the letter praised MENA Americans, particularly in swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, for contributing to Trump’s victory, highlighting a significant shift in Dearborn’s political alignment due to concerns over the Democratic Party’s stance on the Zionist entity.
