At least 89 people remain missing after floods in eastern Spain

Valencia’s judicial authorities announced on Tuesday evening that they have reported 89 cases of missing persons in this Spanish region that has been severely impacted by flooding.

“The joint offices of the forensic police and security forces have identified 89 individuals as missing,” stated the regional higher court of Valencia on X.

This is the first time that officials have released a specific figure regarding the number of missing individuals.
