Algeria and Cuba Enhance Cooperation in Health Sector

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi welcomed General Joaquin Quintas Sola, Deputy Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, and his large delegation at the ministry’s headquarters on Monday. In a statement, the ministry highlighted Quintas Sola’s expression of gratitude for the warm reception, underscoring the historical and enduring relationship between Algeria and Cuba. The visit coincided with the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Algeria’s glorious liberation revolution, marking a significant moment for both nations.

During the meeting, Saihi, who also chairs the Algerian-Cuban Joint Commission, emphasized the solidarity and cooperative spirit that characterize the ties between Algeria and Cuba. He reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen their collaboration in the health sector, aligning with the directives of their leaders for mutual benefit. The discussions focused on expanding health initiatives and sharing expertise, further solidifying the partnership that has long been rooted in shared values and a common vision for progress in both nations.
