The inaugural edition of the African Export and Logistics Conference will be held next Monday, with the objective of connecting exporters and importers by engaging all stakeholders in this economic process. This initiative takes on added significance in light of Algeria’s commitment to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreements, according to a statement from the organizing company released on Wednesday.
Set to take place at the Sheraton Hotel in Algiers, the conference is organized by the Economic Studies and Investment Development Company (SEEDI). It seeks to emphasize “the new provisions and advantages established by the state for Algerian exporters, aimed at optimizing their commercial operations in Africa under the AfCFTA agreements. Additionally, it will foster closer ties between exporters and importers by involving all participants in this important economic initiative,” the statement elaborated.
The conference “will convene experts, institutions, exporters, logistics professionals, and key players in the African economy, along with national economic operators—including producers, industrialists, transporters, and exporters—from various sectors such as agriculture, agri-food, packaging, heavy and light industries, banking, insurance, and transportation,” the statement explained.
