Turkey: Three Dead and 14 Injured in Terrorist Attack Near Ankara

In an attack targeting the Turkish Defense Industries headquarters near Ankara, three individuals lost their lives and fourteen others sustained injuries, according to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

“Two terrorists have been neutralized,” he stated, without clarifying whether they had been arrested or killed, nor indicating if any additional assailants were involved.

Earlier in the day, the minister reported, “A terrorist attack was carried out against the TUSAS facilities in Ankara. Unfortunately, we have suffered casualties and injuries as a result of this attack.”

The television channel Habertürk noted the presence of “hostages,” although details remain vague. Meanwhile, private channel NTV reported gunfire following the explosion, which occurred around 4 PM local time (1 PM GMT). No group has claimed responsibility for the incident at this time.
