Russian Forces Eliminate Over 710 Ukrainian Soldiers in Latest Clashes

Moscow has reported significant losses for Ukrainian forces, with Russia’s Battlegroup Yug claiming to have eliminated up to 710 Ukrainian service members within the past day, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry. The group also repelled seven counterattacks during ongoing combat. Alongside this, Russia’s Battlegroup Tsentr repelled ten counterattacks, while Battlegroup Zapad successfully thwarted five Ukrainian offensives. Ukrainian forces also lost two pickup trucks and a U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, as per the ministry’s report.

Additionally, in clashes with Russia’s Tsentr forces, Ukrainian forces reportedly suffered over 465 casualties. Russia’s Battlegroup Vostok contributed to these heavy losses by causing Kiev’s forces to lose up to 100 more soldiers. These numbers highlight the continued intensity of the fighting, with Russian forces maintaining a strong defensive posture while inflicting considerable losses on the Ukrainian side.

Moreover, Russian forces took control of key settlements, including Nevskoe in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Krasny Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), signaling further territorial gains. These developments are part of Russia’s ongoing military campaign, with control over these areas representing strategic victories in the broader conflict.
