Lebanon: Zionist airstrike destroys commercial market in Nabatieh

The Zionist warplanes launched an airstrike on a commercial market in the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon on Saturday evening, causing injuries and blazing fire, according to Lebanese military and official sources.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the Zionist warplanes carried out the strike at approximately 8:15 PM, targeting the centre of the commercial market in the city of Nabatieh, though no further details were immediately provided.
Military sources stated that the Zionist aircraft conducted four consecutive airstrikes on the main market, firing eight air-to-ground missiles that hit dozens of commercial shops and residential apartments located within the market area.
A source from the Lebanese Civil Defence reported that teams from Civil Defence, the Lebanese Red Cross, and the Islamic Health Authority are working to extinguish a large fire that broke out in the commercial establishments and to remove debris from the shops.
“The destruction affected more than 30 shops, including clothing stores, jewellery shops, restaurants, and bakeries,” the source added.
The source further mentioned that 12 injured have been transferred to a hospital in Nabatieh, while rescue teams are searching for about 12 missing under the rubble of the shops and residential apartments.
Since September 23, the Zionist forces have been conducting an offensive against Lebanon, which began with intensive airstrikes and escalated to ground operations in early October.
