306 Algerian Nationals to Be Repatriated From Lebanon, Friday

The operation to repatriate Algerian nationals from Lebanon began on Friday, in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding the welfare of the Algerian community residing in that country.
This repatriation effort has been initiated, based on a specific plan developed for this purpose. Algerian nationals were transported from Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport to Cairo International Airport aboard two specially arranged flights. Subsequently, Air Algérie will facilitate their return to Algeria, as stated in a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.
The arrival of the 306 Algerians in Algeria is expected early Friday morning, according to the same source.
This marks the second operation of its kind, following one conducted in August 2024, which successfully repatriated over 125 Algerian citizens.
All necessary resources have been mobilized to ensure the success of this operation and to allow our community members to return home in optimal conditions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured, noting that further repatriation efforts will be organized if needed.
In accordance with the directives from the country’s high authorities concerning support for the diaspora, the Algerian state, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, will make every effort to assist its citizens abroad during both joyous and challenging times, as highlighted in the communiqué.
“The Algerian government sincerely hopes for a positive resolution to the situation in Palestine and Lebanon, wishing for peace and stability to return to these regions that are dear to all Algerians,” emphasized the same source.
