Algerian FM Ahmed Attaf Meets with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political, Peacebuilding Affairs

ALGIERS – The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, had bilateral talks in New York with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, a ministry statement said on Tuesday.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to “exchange views on several international peace and security issues on the UN Security Council’s agenda, particularly the Western Sahara issue, the crisis in Libya, and the overall situation in the Sahel-Sahara region,” the statement noted.
