
ALGIERS – Zambia’s President, Hakainde Hichilema, sent a congratulatory message to the Algerian President , Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on his re-election for a second term, in which he underlined his willingness to continue cooperation between the two countries in fields of common interest, the Algerian Presidency said Tuesday in a communiqué.
“Mr. President, I have the pleasure to address to you, on behalf of the Government and the people of Zambia and in my own name, my warmest congratulations on the occasion of your re-election as President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria,” said the congratulatory message.
“Your victory mirrors the confidence placed by the Algerian people in your leadership, your experience, your abilities and your foresight. I must commend the valuable contribution and commitment of your country to international peace and security within the Security Council,” added the Zambian president.
“While expressing my gratitude for the assistance provided by Algeria to Zambia in the field of education, I call for the continuation of our cooperation in areas of common interest and the strengthening of our fraternal relations, for the benefit of our two peoples, wishing you full success during your term. Please accept, Mr. President, the expression of my highest consideration,” he concluded in his message.
