Russian security official arrives in Iran on unannounced visit

Top Russian security official Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Iran on a sudden visit, the Russian broadcaster RT reported on Tuesday.
The visit coincides with reports from Lebanon that Iran’s ambassador has been injured in a major pager blast in Beirut.
The pagers exploded in areas in the capital Beirut and in the south of Lebanon in what was considered the “biggest security breach” against the country since October 7.
Lebanese Health Minister Firas Alabyad announced later that eight people were killed and approximately 2,750 were injured, including 200 in critical condition.
