Boxing: “Canelo” Alvarez retains his world titles against Edgar Berlanga

LOS ANGELES (USA) – Mexican boxing champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez successfully defended his three super middleweight world titles against American Edgar Berlanga on Saturday in Las Vegas.

The Guadalajara native led Berlanga (22 wins) to his first defeat, as he knocked him down in the third round.

The 34-year-old Alvarez raised his record to 62 wins (39 by knockout), two draws, and two losses, retaining his WBA, WBO, and WBC super-middleweight titles.
