Iran Condemns UK, France, and Germany Sanctions, Vows Reciprocal Measures

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned the recent decisions of the European Troika—Germany, France, and Britain—and vowed reciprocal measures. Kanaani dismissed reports of Iranian arms transfers as “false and misleading propaganda,” addressing the claims during an announcement on Tuesday.
The new sanctions imposed by Germany, France, and Britain allege that Iran has delivered ballistic missiles to Russia, which have been used in the ongoing Ukraine war. According to the European Troika, Iran has escalated its military support to Russia, posing what they describe as a “direct threat to European security.”
The European countries claim to have “confirmation” of these weapons transfers and, in response, will cancel bilateral air services agreements with Iran Air. They also plan to designate significant entities and individuals involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program and the alleged arms transfers to Russia. Despite these accusations, Iran continues to deny supplying weapons to Russia.
