Algeria / Lebanon : Tanker ‘In Ecker’ Leaves Skikda Port with 30,000 Tons of Fuel Bound for Lebanon”

The tanker “In Ecker” departed from the new petroleum port of Skikda on Thursday morning, loaded with 30,000 tons of fuel, heading towards Lebanon. This operation is in line with the instructions of the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to supply Lebanon with the necessary quantities of fuel to operate power plants and restore electricity in the country.
The Head of the Eastern Port Unit (Sonatrach Marketing Activity – Skikda), Hussein Belabed explained that the loading of fuel onto the “In Ecker” fuel tanker, owned by Hyproc Shipping Company (a subsidiary of Sonatrach), began on Tuesday night at the petroleum port of Skikda. The operation lasted for 18 hours, concluding around 3:30 PM on Wednesday.
According to Belabed, the loading took place at berth “NP-2” at the petroleum port of Skikda. After the completion of the loading process, a few hours were spent finalizing technical, commercial, and security procedures before the depart of the tanker
The operation was handled by Sonatrach subsidiaries, particularly the Skikda Refinery, Sonatrach’s Trading Activity, and the Hydrocarbon Ports Terminal Management and Operations Company, as stated Belabed.
