Gaza: $33 Billion in Damages Over 300 Days of Aggression

The Gaza Media Office has reported that the recent aggression has resulted in damages amounting to $33 billion over a span of 300 days.
In a statement released on Thursday, marking the 300th day since the onset of hostilities against the Gaza Strip, the office declared, “We are facing a profound and complex humanitarian crisis that has affected all aspects of life in Gaza. The initial direct losses due to this war have so far exceeded $33 billion, in addition to tens of billions of dollars in indirect losses.”
“The crime of occupation, which involves closing the passages, has sparked a genuine humanitarian catastrophe by preventing more than 25,000 injured and sick individuals from leaving the strip to receive medical treatment,” the statement elaborated.
The statement emphasized that the aggressors “have destroyed, set ablaze, and rendered hospitals inoperable, creating seven mass graves, particularly at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Nasser Medical Complex, and Kamal Adwan Hospital.”
Regarding the state of education in Gaza during the conflict, the statement noted that “more than 800,000 students have been deprived of education because the occupation has completely destroyed 117 schools and universities, and partially damaged 332 educational institutions.”
With respect to housing, the statement indicated that the aggressors “have caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe globally by entirely demolishing 150,000 homes and rendering 80,000 homes uninhabitable, in addition to the partial destruction of 200,000 homes.”
According to the source, “the occupation has deliberately destroyed 70 water wells, putting them completely out of service.”
Concerning the victims of this war, the statement specified that the aggressors “have committed 3,457 massacres, resulting in over 39,480 deaths, including 16,314 children and 10,980 women, with children and women making up 69% of the victims.”
In its statement, the office called upon the international community and all international organizations and United Nations bodies to “exert pressure on the occupiers to end this brutal aggression and the crime of genocide.”
