Trump Survives Assassination Attempt
A shooting at Donald Trump‘s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and the FBI identifies the gunman.

The former president and Republican nominee, has survived an assassination attempt during his rally on Saturday, in Butler, Pennsylvania. A bullet “pierced the upper part” of his right ear before agents moved him off stage. Trump’s campain stated that he was “fine” and “is being checked out at a local medical facility”. According to the state police, a man was killed and two others critically injured.
The AR-style rifle pointed towards its target from a less than 150 meters roof, causing a major security lapse. Immediately afterwards, the Secret Service killed the suspected gunman. Early Sunday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Yet the investigation remains ongoing.
President Joe Biden said on Saturday that “everybody must condemn” the suspected assassination attempt, and added “We cannot allow this to be happening”. According to the White House, Biden could at last reach and speak to Donals Trump after several hours.
